It has been a little too long since our last update. For some reason the hours in the day seem shorter, the workload seems longer and the time to tend to our website seems to fall behind.

I woke up this morning and opened my email only to find this note from Bradford who has been following our build.

Bradford

I think it was a good inspiration to fire up the ole website and get started on another post.

This has been a big year for Project Baja. We intended to go to Baja this year to race our shiny race car, but life has had it’s ups and downs and since we had some unforeseen events this year, we just didn’t have the time and money to be able to fulfill that goal. With everyone back on track, goals are set and we are certain that moving forward we will be out there torturing ourselves in the desert with the rest of the 11’s next year.

Project Baja has, believe it or not, still continued to work on the car continuously through the past year. Only a few hours once a week is in the schedule, but it is enough to make some progress. The car is now officially driveable and the only odds and ends that are left are the details.

What details you ask? Well, we just need to finish fab for our skid plates and weld in a few more gussets. Once that is done, we will be able to install our graphics. Yes! Graphics are done and ready to install. You have to believe that it takes every ounce of willpower that we have to hold off on that installation!

In the next few weeks we should have the final parts of our vehicle completed. We’re looking forward to the final paint job for the interior and more than anything we can’t wait to show all of you our completed car.

Thank you to all of you for following along with our build and thanks again to all of the great people who have supported us including: Baja Designs, Kelty, Fox Racing Shox, University Bicycles, Rock Barbers, Oakley, 23 Deluxe and all of the individuals who have helped us through our build.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
