It’s too soon to be able to tell the stories and try to contain all of the excitement… but we did it, we successfully completed the Baja 1000 in our Class 11. We didn’t finish in time, but instead we took 58 hours to complete the course. We had our fair share of struggles from flats to electrical gremlins and anything in between that you can think of. We took our time, making sure that we were making proper fixes to these issues and got back on the road every time with new energy. Our Chase team meshed well and really came together to make this thing happen.

We have a lot of people to thank starting with Volkswagen. It has been both an honor and a privilege to drive for Volkswagen this year and their support has been just absolutely amazing. It is easy to take tires for granted until you really push them to their limits, trust me, BFG All Terrain KO2’s have been thoroughly vetted and what an amazing company to come on board with us as well. Painters grinding in Denver Colorado has built the engine and transmission that got us to the finish. these are hands down the best that we have been able to find.

In addition, we have to thank Rugged Radios and Baja Designs for their continued support, Gates for top quality belts and hoses and Wayne Demonja at C-Fab for continuing to maintain and tune our suspension.

This year we’ve also been fortunate to build shirts with Blipshift. You may even see some more in the future.

We will get ourselves put back together and share some stories from the race soon. Thanks for being part of the adventure.
